Manufacturing & Tooling FAQ

What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for injection molding?

While injection molding is best for high volumes, we accommodate low-volume production (bridge tooling) starting at 1,000 units, all the way up to millions of parts for mass production.

What is the typical lead time for mold making and part production?

T1 samples usually take 3 to 5 weeks depending on part complexity and mold material. Once samples are approved, bulk production typically runs on a 2 to 3-week cycle.

Who owns the mold after it is manufactured?

You do. Once the tooling invoice is fully paid, the mold is 100% your property. We store and maintain it in our facility for free while we run your production orders.

Do you offer overmolding or insert molding capabilities?

Yes, we specialize in advanced molding techniques. We can perform 2K overmolding (e.g., TPE over ABS) and insert molding (e.g., molding plastic around threaded brass inserts or electrical components).

How do you ensure tight tolerances for engineering-grade resins?

We utilize scientific molding principles, rigorous Moldflow analysis prior to tool cutting, and precision CNC/EDM machining to maintain tolerances as tight as ±0.05mm, depending on the material's shrink rate.

Can you provide material data sheets (TDS) and testing reports?

Absolutely. We source authentic resins from global suppliers (like SABIC, Covestro, DuPont) and can provide full traceability, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
